Does climate change affect fertility? Global warming has been something to worry about during the last few years. This situation has put different species in a difficult situation because fertility and reproduction have been altered. In the case of humans, it isn’t different, that’s why we would like to talk to you about how climate change can affect people’s fertility.

At Advanced Fertility Center Cancun our objective is to help couples that are facing fertility issues.

What is infertility?

It is a condition in which a couple can’t achieve a pregnancy after trying for about a year without using contraceptive methods.

How does climate change affect your fertility?

Stress.

Negative changes in emotions, like stress, can affect a woman’s fertility. However it is not very common, hormonal changes can change the menstrual cycle and make a pregnancy difficult.

Climate change.

High temperatures represent a risk in male fertility. Higher than 35o the semens quality descends in a significant way, because the sperms are affected.
Lifestyle changes.

Climate change can transform the lifestyle of a person. The food, lack of exercise, negative emotions, all of these factors could affect male and female fertility.

Some recommendations we would like to share with you to avoid this:

  • Avoid consuming alcohol, tobacco and caffeine in excess.
  • Do exercise on a regular basis.
  • Keep a healthy and valence diet.
  • Consult a mental health professional, you might need it.
What solutions do we have?
