Para qué sirve un análisis de semen

Is a semen analysis necessary? This test allows men with fertility problems to get a diagnosis about what could cause those problems. Now we are going to share more information about the procedure of this test and how it helps to identify a male fertility problem.

At Advanced Fertility Center Cancun we want to help you find the cause of your male infertility.

To later help you to find a solution and give you the opportunity to achieve a pregnancy with your partner by fertility treatment.

How is a semen test done?

To make this test a semen sample from the patient is required. This sample is later taken to an andrology laboratory where it will be analyzed. This procedure is also known as aeminogram.

If you and your partner have tried to achieve a pregnancy for at least one year without having positive results, we recommend you to go to a fertility clinic so that a diagnosis can be done.

Conceiving problems can be caused in 40% by male causes.

During the semen test the quantity and quality of sperms is measured.

When a man does not have sperm in the semen is called Azoospermia. In this case, it’s recommended for the couple an alternative to achieve their objective of having a baby.

We invite you to observe one day inside our laboratory.

A semen test can also be done after a vasectomy, to check if the procedure worked accordingly.

We invite you to read our entry: Having children after the vasectomy. So that you can know how we can make this possible in our fertility clinic.

In our clinic we have perfect installations for your comfort that count with the highest hygiene standards.

Now that we have shared some information about why it is necessary a semen test if you have had male fertility problems.
