papás con VIH tienen hijos sin el virus

Can HIV patients have children without carrying the virus? How could this be achieved? This is a topic that is not regularly discussed, but it’s important to be informed. We want to share with you how an HIV patient can have a baby with the support of a fertility treatment.

At Advanced Fertility Center Cancun we want to help all couples who wish to have a baby and achieve their dream.

Did you know that…?

According to INEGI, more than 300 thousand people have been diagnosed with HIV in Mexico since 1983.

This is a virus that directly affects the immune system, weakening it.

Thanks to the advances and technology in medicine, medications have been developed that prevent the virus from reproducing inside the body and it’s no longer so risky for a patient.

We invite you to read our blog post: What is a person’s fertile stage? We believe this may be an interesting topic for you.

What can a male patient do if he has HIV and wants to have a baby?

Is it possible for a man with HIV to have a baby that does not carry the virus? The answer is yes, with the help of assisted reproduction treatment, where the sperm are separated from the virus and then used in the treatment.

How is the procedure performed?

Sperm washing is a technique where sperm are separated from the seminal plasma. This is because the virus isn’t found inside the sperm, but is found in cells such as lymphocytes or macrophages.

These sperm are then used during the couple’s recommended fertility treatment. This way the baby won’t carry the virus and there won’t be a risk.

At Advanced Fertility Center Cancun we have a team of specialists who will offer you the professional and human service you deserve.

Now that we’ve shared with you some information about how to have a child without spreading HIV, we’d like to know what other questions or concerns you may have about Advanced Fertility Center Cancun that you would like our medical team to solve. You can share them in the comments.

What other topics would you like us to talk about in our blog? Please write them in the comments below.
