How does Cryopreservation work?
The procedure of vitrification is done using freezing systems that are faster than conventional ones. This can reach temperatures below -195o in minutes, avoiding formation of ice crystals. Once the eggs, sperms or embryos are frozen, this can stay conservantes for years in that state.
Women’s fertility starts to decrease after the age of 30. That’s why we recommend you to cryopreserve your eggs before this age. In the case of persons with a diagnosis of an oncological disease, the process of cryopreservation is done before starting chemotherapy or radiotherapy. This treatments are often negative for fertility, decreasing pregnancy probabilities.
