    el método ROPA en fertilidad

Do you know how two women can achieve pregnancy? If you are a woman and your partner is also a woman, and both of you want to have a baby, you should know that it is indeed possible. Thanks to current technology, two women can enjoy the journey to motherhood together. The treatment that makes this possible is the ROPA method, or “Reception of Oocytes from the Partner.”

At Advanced Fertility Center Cancun, we want every couple to have the opportunity to have a baby.

To learn how two women can achieve pregnancy, you must know about the ROPA method.

    What is the ROPA method?

The ROPA method is a variation of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). In this procedure, one woman from the couple provides the eggs, while the other carries the pregnancy. That means one will be the genetic mother, and the other the gestational mother.

This technique is ideal for couples who want a shared motherhood experience, allowing both women to have an active and essential role in creating their baby.

The treatment process begins with a full medical evaluation of both women, in order to determine which one is better suited to provide the eggs and which one has better conditions to carry the pregnancy. This decision is made together with the medical team, considering factors such as age, ovarian reserve, general health, and each woman’s personal desire.

Once the role of each patient is defined, ovarian stimulation begins in the partner who will provide the eggs. This phase consists of administering hormonal medications to promote the development of multiple follicles in the ovaries. Once the eggs have matured, they are retrieved through an ovarian puncture under sedation.

We invite you to read our blog post: The importance of women’s health. We believe it might be of interest to you.

In addition, a sperm donor must be selected for the procedure. The donor can be chosen based on physical characteristics, blood type, or even genetic history, according to the couple’s preferences and needs.

Did you know that at Advanced Fertility Center Cancun we work with 3 international sperm donor banks? If you would like information about any of them, feel free to contact us.

The ROPA method offers a unique opportunity for female couples to experience shared motherhood. It not only allows both women to be involved from the start, but it also strengthens their relationship and family project. Moreover, it is a safe technique, with high success rates when performed at experienced clinics with qualified professionals.

At our clinic, we understand that every family is unique. That’s why we offer personalized treatments, close support, respect, and professionalism. We accompany every couple through each step, providing the information and support they need to fulfill their dream of having a baby.

At Advanced Fertility Center Cancun, we have a team of specialists ready to offer the professional and compassionate care you deserve.
