We will share with you some information about the measures we take in the event of a storm or hurricane to ensure the well-being of our doctors and patients.
We have an action protocol depending on the hurricane warning. These alerts range from blue, having a minimum danger, to red, signifying maximum danger.
Blue Alert: Our team will keep informed and attentive to official communications. The light plant will be tested, and laboratory supplies and medicines will be checked for completeness.
Green Alert: A meeting of area heads will be convened to establish guards and one head of guard per department will be designated. Actions are planned according to the category of expected event.
Yellow Alert: We communicate to patients attending the clinic about possible changes in scheduled appointments and procedures. Hurricane screens will be placed on the windows of our clinic for the safety of staff and patients.
